Application Process
Application References and Other Requirements
Due to the unique format and limited space of Estamos, students must complete the application form linked below. CMU students who are signed into their Populi account are able to save and return to the form. To be safe, we suggest preparing your answers in a separate document and inserting them into the form when you go to submit.
In addition to the application, all students applying for Estamos Guatemala must have the Estamos Guatemala Reference Form submitted by each of the following:
- CMU staff or faculty
- Personal (non-family member)
References should know you well enough to comment on your character, work habits, and/or values.
Application Deadlines
Applications for each program are due by the following dates. Students who are interested in a program or course whose application deadline has already passed should contact the Director of Estamos to inquire whether there is still space and time to apply.
- Panama – February 29, 2024
- India – February 29, 2024
- Guatemala – February 29, 2024
- Colombia – April 30, 2024
Acceptance
Following the submission of all required materials (applications and references), applications will be reviewed by the Director of Estamos and applicable CMU faculty. Students will be notified of their acceptance into the program within 10 business days of the application deadline, at which point they will receive further information. All students who are accepted into Estamos will be required to pay a $500 non-refundable deposit by listed date to secure a spot. If one of the Estamos offerings has insufficient student numbers, students will be notified in advance and given the opportunity to transfer their application to another Estamos study option, as available.
Waiting List
Should the program reach the maximum number of eligible students, students who are not initially accepted will be placed on a waiting list. The waiting list will be reviewed following the deposit deadline.
