Discover Days
We are so excited that you are going to be on campus with us soon; we cannot wait to meet you! Discover Days will give you a full- or half-day student experience on CMU's campus. Discover Days are intended for prospective high school or transfer students and their parents.
You can expect:
- a campus tour with our friendly admissions staff and student representatives,
- a discovery lecture, *
- the opportunity to experience Student Life through chapel and on-campus lunch, *
- conversations with professors,
- conversations with current students,
- information sessions featuring topics on financial aid, academic advising, living on campus, and accessibility services,
- delicious treats from folio café!

Discover Days for 2024/25 will be on Friday, October 25, November 22, 2024, January 31, and February 28, 2025. Also join us for Music Discover Day on Friday, February 7, 2025!
This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about CMU and ask all the questions you have. Additionally, we will be waiving $80 application fee for any applicants who take part in any one of our Discover Days. This is an opportunity you don't want to miss.

Discover Weekend
Fully immerse yourself into community life at CMU by joining Discover Weekend. This is a unique opportunity for non-local students to stay on campus for two nights.
You can expect:
- the opportunity to experience Student Life through staying in residence and attending classes
- conversations with professors
- conversations with current students
- information sessions featuring our residence, advising, and accessibility services
- plus off-campus excursions to get to know our city

Discover Weekend kicks off on the evening of Thursday, November 28 and wraps-up on Saturday, November 30, 2024 in the afternoon.

Open House

Open House events are quick introduction to CMU, designed for prospective students of all ages and their families. This event is dynamic and allows for you to experience CMU at your own pace and in your own time.
You can expect:
- campus tours, including residences
- faculty representatives from our Bachelor of Arts, Science, Music, Business, and Social Work programs,
- information booths featuring Admissions and Student Life teams, Student Council, and other student groups,
- opportunity to apply on the spot with no application fee!
Parking: Limited visitor parking is available at Marpeck Commons, 2299 Grant Ave. Overflow parking is available at CMU, 500 Shaftesbury Blvd (north side of Grant Ave.). There will be staff and signage directing you to Marpeck Commons.
