The Royal Winnipeg Ballet enriches the human experience by teaching, creating, and performing outstanding dance. THE ROLE
As a part-time Boarding Advisor, you are responsible for providing a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for student boarders aged 11-18. In this role, the Boarding Advisors work closely as a team to provide around-the-clock supervision of student boarders, with occasional supervision of non-boarding students during certain activities and events, supporting and enhancing all aspects of student life and programming.
HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES OF THE ROLE
- Provide supervision and care for students, acting as a role model.
- Conduct individual and group check-ins to ensure student safety and well-being.
- Assist in aspects of care of students; ensure completion of chores, homework, and other required undertakings.
- Plan and execute activities, events, and implement systems and routines for students.
- Drive and walk students to and from academic school, appointments, activities, and events.
- Apply appropriate discipline for students in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Respond to crisis situations and assist with crisis response and management as required.
- Provide language support for students in which English is an additional language.
- Perform cleaning and facility-related duties, particularly during scheduled cleaning weeks.
WORKING CONDITIONS
In this role, you work in a Student Boarding environment interacting, observing, and supporting students. You will use general office equipment, industrial cleaning supplies, and are required to lift/move heavy items weighing up to 22 KG (50lbs) such as furniture or luggage. Hours will be casual to start to assist in filling scheduling gaps and will ramp up towards summer. A minimum of one overnight shift per month is required.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Background in child and youth care, social work, psychology, education/teacher assisting, nursing, or a related field.
- Experience working with children/young adults.
- Valid class IV driver's license; or willing and eligible to obtain within three (3) months of employment.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification; or willing to obtain within three (3) months of employment.
- Good understanding of the welfare and development of children.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Certification in English as an Additional Language instruction preferred.
- Ability to speak and write in other languages an asset.
- Familiarity with professional dance training an asset.

The ideal Executive Pastor is a leader who works closely with the Lead Pastor and Elders to transform vision-driven strategies into action on the ground. Role Summary:
The role of the Executive Pastor is threefold: serve Jesus, serve the Church, and serve the Lead Pastor. Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 based on experience

Responsibilities:

Support the Lead Pastor in organizational direction by researching potential ministry initiatives, facilitating strategic planning, preparing and communicating plans, and evaluating their effectiveness.

Manage church operations by developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and effective communication, while providing leadership to the staff team in the Lead Pastor's absence.

Oversee HR functions to ensure a healthy staff culture, including annual reviews, updating position descriptions, equipping staff with necessary resources, and managing employment contracts.

Oversee the implementation of the church vision by guiding volunteers, holding staff accountable, leading Team Leaders, coordinating with the Lead Pastor on annual planning, and reporting progress to the Elders.

Serve as a pastoral presence by leading services, delivering 6-8 sermons annually, and supporting roles like prayer and announcements.

As required, offer specialized pastoral care, including weddings, funerals, hospital visits, pre-marital counseling, and providing support and encouragement to those in need within the congregation and community.

Dryden Free Methodist Church is seeking to find a full-time pastor, who along with the board of directors will provide shepherding, discipleship, and leadership to the congregation. We are looking for either an experienced Pastor or a candidate who is willing to be mentored into this role.
DFMC is in a unique position to be able to offer a full-time paid mentorship track to this position. This will be a transitional period working with the current interim pastor to build relationships with congregants, community, and to develop strengths in the key responsibilities. During this transition, the interim pastor will mentor, shepherd, and share some responsibilities. Kilcona is looking for a Youth & Young Adults Pastor.
Qualifications
- Humble dependence on God that inspires others.
- Bachelor of Theology degree, or a related degree from a recognized bible school or seminary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Youth Ministries (Grade 6-12)
- Provide vision, leadership, and oversight in collaboration with the Lead Pastor for the growth of Kilcona's Youth Ministries.
- Develop weekly ministries to assist youth to be disciples of Christ and servants of his church.
- Build, empower, and mentor a team of leaders dedicated to leading and assisting with the youth ministries.
- Coordinate larger events for community outreach and kingdom building with youth which could include youth retreats, outreach nights, and mission trips.
- Maintain regular ministry communication and collaboration with youth parents and leaders, and lead meetings with both these groups.
- Cultivate intergenerational relationships and ministry between youth and the larger church body.
- Oversee social media, Mailchimp, and corresponding webpages as a youth ministry tool.
- Young Adult Ministries (18+)
- Provide vision, leadership, and oversight in collaboration with the Lead Pastor for the growth of Kilcona's Young Adults Ministry.
- Develop a ministry leadership team who together administer the Young Adult ministries.
- Provide leadership and discipleship training for the Young Adults leaders.
- Assist Young Adults in becoming fully invested members of the church.
- Pastoral Care
- Provide pastoral care for youth, young adults, and their families.
- Assist with developing intentional mentoring connections between youth, young adults, and other Christians in order to further one-to-one discipling.
- Other Church Ministries
- Assist with the preaching and teaching ministry as requested.
- Assist the other pastoral staff with ministry as requested, under the supervision, and release of the Lead Pastor.
Hours and Relationships:
- This position is full-time.
- This position will maintain a regular weekly schedule for ministry involvement and office hours.
- This position is accountable to the Board of Elders through the Lead Pastor.
- This position is mutually accountable to other staff members for personal support, team encouragement, and professional development.
