Chantel Mierau she/her

Financial Analyst

Chantel divides her time between the Finance department and the Research office. She is the Financial Analyst for the LINCZ (Locally Led Indigenous Nature Based Solutions for Climate Change Adaptation in Zimbabwe) project, Research Grant Administrator for the Canada Research Chair, and she supports the Director of Research and Program Grants in her role as Research Grants Coordinator.

She attended CMU from 2003-2005 and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Manitoba. Somehow, art led her to arts administration, which led to financial administration, which led her back to CMU in her current role.

Chantel is also a practicing artist, a director of strange videos, a sewist of clothing, a curler and an auntie.
