Lisa Richard

Coordinator of Student Advising

Lisa returned to work at CMU in 2020 as the Coordinator of Student Advising. She previously worked with the enrolment team from 2010 to 2015, and after five years at another institution, she couldn't resist coming back to the CMU community. 

Lisa has built her career with a passion for working with post-secondary students and brings that passion to her current role. She gets most excited when she can help a student discover a path they didn't know was possible or find a new way of seeing who they are, what they're capable of and how they may fit into the world. She is deeply curious about people and enthusiastically works to find ways to connect people with what they love.  

When not helping students navigate the many challenges of academic life, Lisa can be found at home with her family (likely in the kitchen trying a new recipe) or exploring Winnipeg's urban forests.  At the end of the day she avoids spending too much time scrolling social media by picking up a good book.
