STEP 1: Fill out an application
Domestic Students
Applications for Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 are open. The deadline for Fall 2025 applications is August 25. A non-refundable application fee of $80 is required. For the month of February we are waiving the $80 application fee for domestic Fall 2025 applicants. No code necessary!
International Students
Applications for Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 are open. Please visit the international student webpages for detailed explanations regarding studying at CMU. A $150 nonrefundable application fee is required for international applications all year round.
Returning to CMU?
If you have studied at CMU in the past, please email the advising office at advising
STEP 2: Check your application portal often for required items and decision letters.
- You may upload an unofficial transcript as part of your application to your application portal.
- Original official final transcripts are required for final admission and must be submitted directly from an institution (or mailed or delivered in person).

STEP 3: Apply for financial aid and awards
CMU offers nearly 400 scholarships and bursaries to students. CMU awards scholarships and bursaries to approximately 50% of the student body each year, so be sure to apply!
Scholarship application deadline is February 28.
Bursary application deadline is May 31 (international students); July 20 (domestic students).
