Policies & Procedures

PLEASE READ THE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES CAREFULLY. ENROLMENT IN AND PAYMENT FOR THE TOUR CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THE TOUR CONDITIONS.

Group Size

This is a small group tour, with a minimum of 16 and maximum of 18 participants. Canadian Mennonite University may cancel the tour if the minimum number of participants is not reached.

Physical Fitness

This is a hiking and walking tour. Participants will need to be physically fit and able to walk for 15 to 20 kilometers per day. Some days will find us on hilly, steep, and rocky terrain with significant changes in elevation. Participants should be prepared, even on other days, to be on their feet for much of the day.

Included in the Tour

• Accommodations in three star or better hotels, with two persons sharing a twin bedroom with private bath—limited number of single rooms are available. Several nights' accommodation will be in homes
• Breakfast and dinner throughout the tour, plus eight lunches. Drinks are extra, although coffee and tea are included at breakfast
• All ground transportation during the tour except on free days
• Entrance fees to sites and museums noted in the itinerary
• Services of English-speaking local guides. Occasional special lectures and discussions with local residents as per itinerary
• All gratuities to drivers and guides, including tips associated with luggage transfer at hotels, and honoraria to guest speakers ($350.00 USD per person)

Not Included in the Tour

• Airfare
• Passport fees—passports must be valid for six months after scheduled return to Canada
• Visa fees and exit fees for Jordan, should they be required for those on a Jordan extension
• Beverages other than coffee/tea at breakfast
• Additional Lunches not noted above
• Sightseeing items not listed in the itinerary
• Medical travel insurance (required) and/or trip cancellation/interruption insurance
• Departure and arrival fees not noted in the Inclusions above

Financial Information and Payment Schedule

• A deposit of $500.00 CAD, which will be credited toward the total cost of the tour, is required for each participant by November 29, 2019. Space is limited and earlier reservations are encouraged to secure a place on the tour.
• Final payment is due by December 2, 2019.

Proof of Citizenship

Participants must hold a current passport that is valid for six months following the travel dates. Names on airline tickets must appear as shown on passports.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
