Science Merit Awards

Merit Awards recognize CMU students who are gifted in specific areas of achievement and who desire to excel and contribute to CMU in these areas. Each year up to 19 Merit Awards ($1000-$1500 per year up to four years) are given to students upon entering CMU.

Science Merit Awards recognize CMU students who display curiousity about the natural world and who desire to enter a science program at CMU. Each year 2 Science Merit Awards (maximum value $6,000; $1500 per year up to four years) are awarded to students entering CMU. In order to qualify for a Science Merit Award, students must submit the application and have one nomination submitted from someone who can speak to your suitability for study in the Bachelor of Science program (e.g. teacher, employer). All materials must be submitted no later than February 28.
