Noha Ghattas

Assistant Professor of Business

I’m an accounting educator with over 15 years of experience dedicated to inspiring students and fostering their passion for accounting. I earned my doctoral degree in Accounting from Assuit University, Egypt, where my academic journey began.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of teaching at esteemed universities across Egypt, Kuwait, and Canada.I was the team leader for the accounting department at the American University of the Middle East in Kuwait. This diverse experience has enriched my teaching approach, allowing me to deliver comprehensive courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. My teaching philosophy emphasizes not only theoretical knowledge but also the practical application of ethical principles and critical thinking skills necessary for success in the dynamic field of accounting.

As a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), I bring a unique perspective to my teaching by integrating real-world insights into the curriculum. This prepares students to navigate the complexities of the professional world with confidence and integrity.

My research interests focus on the innovative integration of disruptive technologies in accounting education and advancements in accounting professionalization, particularly within the Canadian context.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places!
