Associate Professor of Chemistry and Physics
Candice is passionate about teaching physics and chemistry and is inspired by Plutarch who said "the mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled." She finds the physical world to be an infinitely interesting place and enjoys sharing science with her students. Her research is geared toward a physical understanding of how large biomolecules such as proteins work—how they fold, and how different parts of each protein communicate with another in order to perform their function. She has published in a wide variety of journals and presented her work at international conferences.
Candice loves music, poetry, and literature. In her spare time, she enjoys park walks and spending time with friends and family.
