Tim Rogalsky

Associate Professor of Mathematics

I am passionate about maths and I love to teach! There's nothing quite as rewarding as watching the lights go on in students' eyes - whether it's math-o-phobes in a general education course realizing for the first time that mathematics can be accessible and FUN, or math-o-philes finally connecting the last piece of of a challenging puzzle.

To those who think, "But it's just math," I say, "There's no such thing!" In my classroom you'll discover that mathematics connects to everything - from science and economics, to environmental and social justice, to spirituality.

I enjoy being active in many forms - triathlon, gardening, x-country skiing, live music, hiking, cooking, canoeing, and basketball.

• MATH-1040 Elements of Discrete Mathematics, MATH-1050 The Art of Mathematical Thinking, MATH/PHIL-3060 Introductory Logic.

Maths for CMU programs:

• Various degrees in Science, Business, and Psychology require some or all of these courses.
• MATH-1000 Basic Statistical Analysis, MATH-1020 Introduction to Calculus, MATH-1030 Calculus II.

Maths for mathies:

• For majors, minors, and concentrations in Mathematics, and for anyone who just loves maths!
• Calculus, Chaos Theory, Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics, Logic, Linear Algebra.
