Outreach Ministry Manager
Fight4Freedom
Employment Type: Part-Time
Category: General
Starting Date: ASAP/TBN
Application Deadline: Until Filled
Job Description
All staff positions are on a support-raised salary where the individual must raise 100% of their support. This means that you would raise the funds for your salary as a missionary with Fight4Freedom through your own contacts, churches, and relationships. We offer support in how to do this through coaching and resources.
The Job
Your job involves the operation of anything related to outreach in all regions such as coaching and checking in with outreach ministry admin assistants, outreach ministry coordinators as well as regional representatives in overseeing their regions, researching and envisioning new outreach initiatives, and researching outreach places where we can minister to our target population group.
What this is:
This document is a compilation of notes about this role. Use it as a reference point and to give you a sense of where the state of Fight4Freedom ministry is at. These are not necessarily the "rules." They are the current baseline and, hopefully, will be a helpful resource as you launch into this job.
Coaching
Your job is to offer coaching to the outreach department staff, regional reps, and the volunteer coordinator and offer your input, support, and encouragement.
You have monthly meetings at a set time with each outreach ministry staff, outreach ministry admin assistant, regional reps, and volunteer coordinator.
Outreach
You are responsible for overseeing outreach teams via coaching regional reps and putting together teams for those outreach regions. You also lead team lead meetings once per season. You form focus groups to explore new outreach initiatives. New initiatives' plans will get tested out by pilot projects. If the pilot project receives a good outcome, this new outreach initiative will be developed into a formal outreach ministry and you as well as the focus group members will develop relevant training materials for volunteers joining this new outreach ministry. You also provide training and orientation to outreach department staff, regional reps, and volunteers. You also develop an online outreach platform similar to Freedom Signal with Buyer Resist along with the outreach ministry coordinators.
Volunteer Management
You help to recruit volunteers for outreach areas. You also help to train and onboard new volunteers and review policies annually regarding volunteer recruitment, communications, management, and appreciation. You also work with local colleges and universities to explore internship opportunities.
Research
Research is an important part of this role as well. You need to be informed of the recent information and trends related to the existing outreach ministries, i.e. street, strip club, massage parlour, prison, and online, so the effectiveness and relevance of our outreach efforts are to be evaluated. Research is also to inform potential new areas to expand outreach towards. Therefore, you are responsible for overseeing the outreach ministry research team, which includes the Ministry Research Manager/Coordinator and ministry research volunteers.
Partnership
Part of your role is to maintain existing partnerships with other outreach ministries and organizations. You are responsible for attending the Toronto Counter Human Trafficking Network meetings and other human trafficking networks or coalition meetings as discussed with the rest of the Canadian leadership team and/or the Outreach Department Team. You are also the point of contact for organizations and/or interested individuals wanting to explore starting ministry efforts with F4F in new regions.
General Operations
Part of your role is being on the Canadian leadership team. The leadership aspect of this role means you are a part of talking about missions, visions, and operational things regarding F4F.
