Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) strives to engage in research and scholarship in accordance with the highest ethical standards. The CMU Research Ethics Board is mandated to evaluate, approve, reject, propose modifications to or terminate, in accordance with CMU's Policy on Ethical Review of Research with Human Participants (linked below). We recommend submitting studies 3 months head of the start date to allow sufficient time for review and feedback.
Before submitting, all applicants must complete the Tri-Council Tutorial on Research Ethics (TCPS2: CORE-2022) if you have not completed this in the past, or if your certificate was issued prior to 2022. Your certificate of completion is necessary in the ethics submission process.
All information related to the CMU REB submissions can be found on the Research Office SharePoint under Ethics & Integrity. Here you will find submission guidelines, forms, policies, and deadlines.
Please see the Research Office SharePoint under Ethics & Integrity.
