The nature of CMU's program facilitates relationships of mentorship between students and faculty, which helps students achieve academic success, and provides guidance to students discerning their interests and goals.
Opportunities beyond the classroom provide students the chance to connect their learning to practice, and share their interests with the broader community. These opportunities include a Book Arts Association, a literary publication (Soul in Paraphrase) and a student newspaper (The Doxa), which provide students important opportunities to write, edit and publish. Additionally, practicum placements provide a setting to develop skills and discern interests, which contribute to finding meaningful careers.
