Friday, May 3, 2019 – Saturday, June 22, 2019
Gabriela Agüero explores her journey from tumultuous times in her homeland – Argentina's Dirty War – to the present day. Agüero's passion and creative energy is at her side and in her heart throughout. One senses the trouble and loneliness of dark days, the hope and honouring of family, her inner journeys. LUMINOUS features paintings and haunting photography.
Gabriela Agüero is a visual artist from Argentina who immigrated to Canada in 1985. She holds a BFA Honours from the University of Manitoba and a MFA from Louisiana State University. In the past her work addressed issues of human rights, gender, technology, and meamorphosis.
