March 1 - April 26, 2025 | Opening Event March 1, 1 -3 PM
Featuring L-R: While it was still dark by Anthony Schellenberg, Station 14 by Christen Rachul
- Shaken Alive by Angeline and Anthony Schellenberg features both poems and photography in conversation with each other, inspired by Eastertide lectionary passages.
- A BYOV (Bring Your Own Venue) show of the Flash Photographic Festival 2025.
- Carried A Way by Christen Rachul imagines The Stations Of The Cross through the experiential and inclusive process of touching and holding symbolic pottery bowls. Christen has created a unique bowl for each Station of the Cross and the entire walk through the Stations will be fully accessible to the visually impaired, featuring braille text panels for each piece.
The exhibition will open in the Community Gallery at MHC Gallery on March 1, just days before Lent begins.
Both projects were created as part of the artist-in-residence program that runs annually at saint benedict’s table, an Anglican community in Winnipeg. As a community that values active participation in the arts, the residency program is one way to support artists in growing their practice.
